About the Studio

A calm space to learn a lifelong skill

I teach beginning sewing lessons out of my own dedicated studio in Palm Beach County. It's a space built specifically for one-on-one instruction, with no distractions and no judgment.

Whether you've never touched a sewing machine or just want to finally finish that project sitting in your closet, lessons are shaped entirely around you: your pace, your goals, your questions.

The hands behind the studio

Sewing has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. What started as a lifelong love of fabric, thread, and making things with my own two hands has grown into something I get to share with others every day.

I built my studio here in Palm Beach County because I wanted a space that felt different from a typical classroom, somewhere calm, unhurried, and genuinely welcoming to beginners. I still remember what it felt like to be new to a sewing machine, and I never want a student to feel intimidated walking through my door.

These days, I teach one-on-one lessons (and love hosting small groups of friends, too), working at each student's own pace rather than a rigid lesson plan. Whether you're picking up a needle for the very first time or finally getting around to that project you've been meaning to start, I'm here to make it feel approachable, hands-on, and most of all, fun.

I can't wait to sew with you.

Common Questions

Before your first lesson

Do I need any sewing experience?

No. Most students come in having never used a sewing machine. Lessons start wherever you are and move at your pace.

Do I need to bring a machine or supplies?

Not for your first lesson. Machines, tools, and basic supplies are all provided here in the studio.

How long is a lesson, and what does it cost?

Sessions are 90 minutes and cost $40. Ask about pricing for multiple lessons or ongoing students.

Can I come with a friend?

Yes. Lessons are one-on-one by default, but small groups of friends are welcome. Let me know when you reach out and I will plan for it.

What will I make first?

Most first projects are something simple and useful, like a lined tote bag, a pillow cover, or a zippered pouch. You leave with it finished.
